The chimerical brazilian band Boogarins has just released Machanca vol 1.
Uniting songs from diverse backgrounds the album was fully conceived in a home they were hosted at in Austyn, TX.

Whether the weirdest american city has influenced their sweet and absurd sounds is (maybe not so) hard to guess.

Ranging from the uttermost experimental noisy tracks (ASMR) to joyous lullabies (Inocencia), Machaca presents a band in it’s finest.

Boogarins seems to evolve at each record, finding new unknown spaces within its vaste catalogue. It feels like they live in a repetition-blinded universe. Inside the good musics lies a patient craft of sounds: voice and instruments frequently recorded in an intuitive manner, torn apart and rebuilded in such wonderful sophisticated rugs.

Manchaca also features their first track in english (A Pattern Repeat On was only losely released). Valid to metion that Make Sure Your Your Head Is Above — some sort of reggaeish tune — was beautifully recorded by brazilian singer Céu in her new Apká (2019). Go check it out. It really sounded delicious.

Not needed to say Manchaca has a bunch of jewels hidden in it’s chest. Ruby red songs and marine turquoise mellodies. Emerald lyrics. To paraphrase what they had said, Boogarins is a little giant carrying an enourmous amount of experience. If you want to share some, listen!
